Trip: Day 7

Welp, it is now a week into our trip and it feels like it but it also doesn't. I'm tired enough, thats for sure, but it's all gone by so quickly!!

Once again it is late and I'm too tired to come up with witty rhetoric to go in this post so here's some pictures from a hike we did this morning. It's called seven ladders. Actually it's called seven stairs but the word for ladder and stair are the same in Romanian.

Trip: Day 5

It's super late and I'm tired.
So first: yes we have been in Constanta for the last two days, and now we're in a different city so more guessing to come.
Second: here's the hotel we've been staying in:

And here's a picture dump. It's mostly the old casino in Constanta.

One more thing

Formatting in blogger on the iPhone is really hard so there will probably always be a problem with the pictures. Like how 2 days ago I mentioned pictures, plural and then there was only one; yeah, like that.

Trip: Day 4

Ok so here's the deal: Andrew has ruined my fun because he keeps posting where we are on Facebook. But I am determined to have an unspoilable time so we're still going to play the game, but a little differently. Ok so you probably know we're in Romania (and if you didn't, now you do) but I am pretty certain you do not know which city we are in. So that's the new game: guess the city! I'm figuring out some sort of incentive to get people to participate (because the more people who guess, the more fun it will be!) but I haven't yet so any ideas would be welcomed.

Ok so day 4. First off, here are some pictures from today:

Secondly, let me elaborate on this whole "no street signs" thing. So you know how in America maps are useful because they have street names on them and you can match them up to the signs that are almost always clearly marked on every corner? Well maps are completely useless here because half the time there aren't even signs!! And then when there are signs, they're in little tiny fonts on little tiny signs, plastered on buildings sometimes on the corner but sometimes a building or two in. I wish I could explain just how frustrating this is  but it sufficeth to say that it makes me want to tear my hair out.

Last thing I want to say: I've never had so many people stare at me before! Andrew says we catch people's attention because we're blonde and then when they hear us speaking English they're even more awe struck. We had these two little boys just staring, talking and giggling at us all through dinner tonight.

So guess where we are today! We're not leaving until tomorrow so you'll have another day to guess.

Trip: Day 3

So because of this whole time difference thing I kind of skipped a day. Also it's been really stressful trying to get around a place that has no street signs, so yeah. When your job is "the navigator" it leaves little time for blogging. Or taking pictures for that matter. Here are the few that I took today..

So here is a fun story: when we landed for the last time in our country of destination, right as the wheels touched the run way, the entire plane burst into applause. They were so happy to be back on the ground

Another funny story: our hotel room was TEENY!!

So can you guess where we were today?

Trip: Day 1

This is what I see today. We're not at our final destination yet (we won't get there until tomorrow) but we are well on our way!
Why put a dinosaur in an airport? Well why not, really?
